NCAMP Golf Classic is a Hit

The third annual NCAMP Charity Golf Classic took place on October 8th at Brier Creek Country Club in Raleigh, NC.  It was a big success, measured by the fact that we clearly made a public statewide statement to the industry and the community that NCAMP is doing great things in an unselfish way to “give back to our communities” by conducting this charitable fundraiser.

We raised over $25,000, and all net proceeds went to benefit the National MS Society.  To date, NCAMP has raised over $67,000 in the last 3 years from this charity golf tournament.  During these challenging times in an ever-changing business climate, one thing has remained constant:  the support from our customers in the community.  We are very proud to be able to make a significant contribution back to our friends in the community who are in need of our help.

Everyone enjoyed a beautiful day at a premier Arnold Palmer signature design country club golf course.  The day was full of spectacular food and beverages, and tons of fun.  The tournament was kicked off by Bob Bryan, President of the National MS Society, NC Chapter.  “We simply can’t thank NCAMP enough for the generous support you have provided to the MS Society over the last 3 years,” Bryan announced.  “The people behind this tournament and the participants here today are truly special to give of their time and resources to help those who are afflicted with multiple sclerosis.   Everyday, we are one step closer to a cure.  It is thanks to the support of friends like you that make it possible.”

Many of the participants this year told us that this was the best golf tournament they have ever played in.  That is a true testament to the many great sponsors, volunteers and staff that made this tournament possible, as well to the donors of all the prizes and auction items.

During the tournament, the players enjoyed non-stop ice cold beverages sponsored by Fifth Third Bank and Laural Bromhal, Simpson-Underwood Realtors.  The lunch during the tournament was a very unique carving station sponsored by JK’s Restaurant, with their executive chef on hand to dole out the most delectable and awesome food you have ever seen at a golf tournament.  The players were treated to wine tasting during the tournament, which was sponsored by Johnson Brothers Carolina Distributors with fantastic fine wines.  The putting contest, which is always a huge hit, was sponsored by Corporate Investors Mortgage Group, Inc.  Unfortunately, nobody made a hole in one on the Hole-in-One contest, sponsored by Ferris & McCall Attorneys at Law.  But, it made for some great competition, with several players getting with a few feet of winning the $10,000 prize.  The team prizes were once again sponsored by our friends at Pinehurst Golf & Resort, who are always one our biggest and most loyal sponsors.

The day wrapped up with an awesome awards dinner, with food provided by Ole Time Barbecue in Raleigh.  The many generous contributions toward the silent auction and raffle, as well as the donated food and beverages, helped put us over the top in our fundraising goal.  Plus, the players received a “win-win” treat by buying or winning some incredible items and having fun all day.

All in all, the 3rd Annual NCAMP Golf Classic was a huge success!  It’s really a beautiful thing to be able to have so much fun doing a worthy cause like raising money for a noble charity.
