This program has been over three years in
the making and has involved the leadership
of the NC Association of Mortgage Professionals,
members of the association and the NC Commissioner
of Banks.
The purpose of the Accreditation Program
is to show to the borrowing public and to
their peers’ willingness on the part
of the professional broker to go beyond the
minimal licensing requirements and demonstrate
a commitment to higher standards of service
and knowledge.
An endorsement by the NC Commissioner of
Banks, the state’s chief regulator
of our industry, is the first of its kind
anywhere in the country. This endorsement
comes with a price and it requires voluntary
compliance to a program designed to separate
true professionals from those who are unwilling
to do more than the bare minimum necessary
to retain their license. At the end of the
day there will be the Accredited Broker (or
Accredited Lender) and everyone else.
The NC Accredited Broker (or Accredited Lender) will receive:
The unqualified endorsement of the Commissioner
of Banks.
- Consideration regarding regulatory
issues.
- Status among the lending community.
- Recognition for achievement.
